The Nights That Make The Drive Worth It - As posted by the band
Need I say more?
As posted by the band on their myspace page.
Few things were more of a pleasure the the last two shows
absolutely back to back great nights that will forever be in our minds and we absolutely owe it to all of you the fans... For showing up, for showing the love, and for buying us out of Saint Gear. (hey man that third one keeps the amps on and the van rolling)
OTTO's Shrunken Head
10-30-07
DEVILS NIGHT
also playing Hate In The Box
Otto's is never ever a let down... We Saints have no idea how many times we have ever payed there, and it doesn't ever matter.... They were all great! That is just how Otto's is. It is a dirty club were you play in the back... It is a small room, with weird crap on all the walls... Man do we love it.
The Hate In The Box people are some of the finest on this earth. They are the very first band that we Saints ever played with. The never let down. People are still talking about that Rabbit outfit that Blight was wearing. We love them, and will play with them anytime.
The crowd singing along to down and Little Whispers is the stuff that we live for. It was night of loud music, and a halloween night theme that was second to none. No one left that bar with out having a good time and no Saint left that place till the sun came up. For hours afterward we stood outside the club hanging out talking and recounting tales of rock nights.
LaMOURS
11-21-07
THANKSGIVING MASSACRE
also playing Seventh Void and CARNIVORE
LAMOURS it hands down the best club on Staten Island. The crowds out here in what has become NYC's forgotten bough are warm friendly and interested in hearing something new. Packed in like canned people it was a much warmer reception than many a band that has opened for the thrash metal god CARNIVORE have ever received. It was the honor of a life time to be able to open for the man that had done so much for us... Joey Z. The guy that recored our album repaid us in kind by allowing us to share the field of battle with him. Pete, Paul and Steve are among the finest men to walk the earth. None of the "We big band, you little band" that is so thought of with the locals opening for nationals. We were treated like we had sold just as many records as they had. They treated us all as equals.
It was a glorious show.... Mark Allen is the sound man/ mad scientist, with his sly wit and great understanding of sound, it would be impossible to think of a time when we were better taken care of. Slittz the lighting guru was pulling rabbits out of hats with every song. These two guys had never even herd us and from start to finish you would have thought that we had brought our own team of light and sound. They are true pros in every sense of the word.
Back stage we hung out with all the boys of Seventh Void and CARNIVORE till nights end. Stories flew, and much reviling was done. It was a TV's out windows kinda night.
We Saints would like to say thanks to all the CARNIVORE and Seventh Void people: it was an honer
To the L'Amous club owns and all the staff there: Cant wait to do it again.
But most of all to all of you that came out. So often people forget with out you the fans all of this would be nothing. All of you are why we do this. We thank you and will see you at the next one
