Post concert - A night to burn at Desmond's tavern

SAINTS FOREVEEEEEEEEER!!!!!!

Damn guys, that was a GREAT show., and aptly named "a night to burn". You can tell the saints of pain were to take over the stage when they "BURNT" a fuse just by testing the mics. I don't think the sound engineer was much of an engineer. you should have seen the beads of sweat on his forehead at the demand of the band. What? do you honestly think the band is going to play if everything is NOT perfect?. Then you have another thing coming. Only the Saints of Pain can put on a show where the walls and the ground shake, where something gets blown up, and always, ALWAYS there are converts. These are my favorite stories to tell. point in case, as I was outside smoking a cigarette and watching the band bring in the gear ( yeah I know, I'm supposed to help. They did make me part of the street team, but that's another story). Anyway, there was this HOT girl and her boyfriend and she was telling him that they were leaving the bar, because she did not want to hear a band that screams and calls it music.
Well, imagine my surprise when she was standing there after hearing the second song of the night, and my favorite, “Therapy”. After that one, she was won over as a fan. Oh yeah, she stayed, she listened, and she converted to the dark side. She was out the front of the bar, while Gina Martini took great pictures of the saints of pain.

If I say it once, I will say it again. DON'T MISS A FUCKING SHOW!!!!!! Trust me on this, I know what I'm talking about. These guys are the best metal band to come out of NYC. Have you heard one of their newest songs? it's called: “She ain't mine”. I'm not going to tell you about it, you are just going to have to come to their next gig.

Guys it was great hanging out with you all. Thanks so much for the hole evening. i'd never thought I would hang with the saints of pain for my first time ever until day light Sunday morning.

LAZ: you have to keep up with me when we are drinking, specially if I'm buying. :)

Priest: you are a very humble guy and a great entertainer. Thank you for dinner

Syxx: Dude, if I don't stop you to say hi, you are just a red blur moving around making sure the equipment is there. Then letting those riffs come out.

Uriel: homie, it was great sitting next to you at dinner. You are a freaking maniac. The things that you would go through for a great photo shoot. What would you have done if there really WAS a rat behind you? haha

As always I will be at the next gig “front and center and in full uniform”.

Life on the Midway

from The saints of Pain myspace page...

"BLOODY MONDAY
Club Midway
25 Ave. B
NYC
Call Time 11 pm
One set. 9 songs

Midway's is one of those classic NYC clubs. Half the club is a basement and has some crazy theme that would never fly in any other city in America. Bloody Monday is one of those rare gems of a night, where girls in rubber clothing and freaky guys come together in a love of heavy music and making mayhem… Sounds like a perfect formula for a SAINTS show if ever there was one.
Party promoters Vanilla Christ and Scarlet are top-notch people that bring a great party and never let down on how a club should treat a band. From load in, to the show, to load out, we were treated with the up most care and welcoming.
As a special treat we were joined in the crowd with presence of one Andrew W.K. That is right Mr. White Denim Jeans, high kicking, PARTY PARTY PARTY PARTY!!! It was an honor for us to play for some one that has accomplished so much in this industry and would love to do it again for you… Anytime Chief. You bring the heavy stomping and we will bring the rest.
As for those of you that were there… Well we don't have to tell you how good a time was had by all. In songs like Little Whispers and Inside you didn't let us down with your ability to sing so loud that it over whelmed the PA. I am sure that we will be returning to this party ASAP.
The one thing that can always be said about SAINTS fans is that they never let down. We were able to play a song for all of you that we had never played before live Apogee. Due to our response that we received from the crowd this song has been placed into serious contention for the July recording of the full studio album KILLING JAR.
So, take care dear readers and see you at the next one.

Saints of Pain News for their new album

Directly from Lazarus' myspace blog....

"So, after a string of very successful shows, we have one more until we hit the studio and record our first album. It is something that we as a band are very much looking forward to.

June 23rd at Desmond's Lounge in Mid-Town will be the date of the show, and July 2nd starts the long, arduous, and often painful but always rewarding process that is recording our album.

At this time I want the people that know us and love us best to tell us what their favorite Saints of Pain songs are so we can consider that when picking the songs to put on that album. Every song listed will be a song that we have played live so I'll list the name of the songs here to try to help jog your memories. I understand you probably wont know the titles of all or even most of our songs. Just pick your favorites.

Paradise, Down, Little Whispers, Anthem, Killing Jar, Re-Breathe, Apogee, Corrosion, This Promise, You Ain't Mine, Interlude, Inside, Therapy, Forward, and Eclipse.

Of those 15 songs, we need 11 for our album, pick your favorites and I'll personally let you know whether your choice made the cut or not. I have my favorites, but its about you guys, what you guys pick, you guys get.

Thank you,

St. Lazarus"
