Fulfilling my life one small dream at a time - as posted by Syxx

I"m glad that the band is posting their thoughts on the one show I missed. I usually write my point of view when I go to a gig and release all my tension, however I was not able to make it to their last one with Carnivore and TypeO. Thanks to Syxx, there's another point of view to this great experience. Read on:

Few times in life you find yourself actually doing something that you thought would remain an unfulfilled dream. I never imagined that I would one day get to share the stage with a group of guys that played in bands of which I was a fan. This surreal instance came to life when I got to play the same bill as Carnivore and Seventh Void. Now I admit that as far as dreams go this may seem trivial, but for me to get to play with these chaps that I hold in high regard (and I have meet many of my rock idols only to find out that they were assholes) this was the very best of all thing that I have come to love about being a performer. Most of the time that I spent before and after the show was hanging out with a really great group of not only professional musicians, but a group of fun loving, like minded, hell raisers. I've met Pete Steele a few time over the years that I have been living in N.Y.C.(at a few shows and once at the Sam Ash in brooklyn) and I'm sure that he has met literally millions of his fans but he actually rememberd meeting me at the new years eve show that they (Type O) played at the original Lamours back in 2005 (normally I would think that someone would say they did when they didn't just to be nice however he mentioned first that we had taken a pic together and indeed, we had). I also have had the pleasure and honor to work with Joey Z (L.O.A.) during the month and a half recording our album at his Brooklyn studio but to then get to play a show with the guy was just the iceing on the cake. Joey,Pete, Paul, Steve are without a doubt some of the best people that I have met and worked with in the music world, not just as musicians, but as just great folks to hang with.

VIVA LA DARKSIDE!
